POSTCARD FROM AFRICA-- April 2024

When Pastor Raymond and his wife moved from a rural part of South Africa to Khayelitsha, on the outskirts of the large city of Cape Town, they were dismayed to see how many children from their new neighborhood were left alone during the day to fend for themselves. They decided to open a daycare center to meet the needs of the community. Hard work, development and training turned the daycare center into a registered preschool which now enrolls over 200 children.

Pastor Raymond and his team have received training, development, encouragement, and partnership through the Orchard: Africa Impact Center. He started a feeding project and an agricultural project, both of which are thriving just like the preschool.

With years of training and equipping from Orchard: Africa, his church has developed and

has recently established a feeding project for children in another community where many children are receiving food and care.

“We love Orchard: Africa. We are grateful for the training we get because it enables us to do more with what we have,” says Pastor Raymond.

Because of you, our Orchard Community, we see church growth, a new community reached, and hundreds of children cared for.
